Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, primary role is to manage the processes and standards for the MOC and Technical Support;

This role will formulate and initiate changes to Control Manual policies and processes to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance. The position requires coordination between various departments supporting Technical Dispatch, to ensure all processes are aligned for safe and efficient dispatch of airplanes in compliance with corporate, commercial and regulatory requirements.

Job Functions (including but not limited to the following)

Manage & control MOC/TSS/Cabin MOC processes in the MCM and develop an internal Technical Support Procedure Manual.

Coordinate all MEL reviews between Tech Support and MEL Services to ensure consistency, standardization and reduce unnecessary burden.

Support Regulatory Compliance for investigations and maintain/improve communication with Engineering, Line Maintenance and MOC.

Identify risk scenarios in consultation with Systems Operation Control (SOC) & Flight Dispatch (DXP) and prepare provisional action plans for each scenario (e.g. contact local mtc at key foreign stations & establish resolution protocols in advance)

Lead Safety and special technical investigations and evaluations requiring engagement of MOC, Technical Support & Cabin resources.

Represent MOC at select meetings such as the Corporate Safety call (with Fleet Technical Support & Regulatory Compliance), Maintenance Review Board (MRB), etc.

Optimize/organize/accomplish training for MOC,TSS and Cabin MOC

Develop and implement processes that integrate L/M/MOC/Planning/Materials functions to optimize communication, coordination and ensure compliance.

Liaise with Line Maintenance (L/M) leadership team to align ACM priorities in Maintenance Operations Control department.

Primarily expected to be a 5-2 work schedule but incumbent must be willing to work non-standard shift schedules as required

Some travel will be required


AME/ACA designation preferred

Engineering or other applicable University degree an asset

Project Management training an asset
