System Administrator / IT System Analyst Job at Arisoft Inc – in Toronto, ON

Job Description


· Monitor the and manage incidents and requests in the service desk system according to defined SLAs, escalating where required.

· Work collaboratively with the team to resolve remote and onsite issues

· Multitask with good time management skills and demonstrate the ability to work with a team as well as independently

· Provide customer oriented follow-ups in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.

· Evaluating and documenting all modifications to systems, settings, and services and practicing change management where applicable.

· Creating knowledge base articles and instruction documents

· Support the deployment and usage of mobile phones and tablets.

· Communicate with a professional attitude to interact with diverse clients.

· Support Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Onedrive, Office 365, and other Microsoft cloud based services

· Support remote work technologies and remote work secure best practices

· Support staff in using securing passwords, multifactor authentication, and self service password reset tools

· Creating and maintaining laptop/desktop images

· Perform data transfers / migration from different computers / systems

· Create / maintain documentation / knowledge base articles

· Deploying user workstations and managing fixed asset life cycles

· Work with the Manager, IT Infrastructure and IT Security Administrator to ensure all offices/sites are compliant with all security requirements.

· Maintain network and telecommunication documentation for all sites

· Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.

· Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.

· Work with vendors, consultants, and contractors to resolve issues or where required.

· Address IT operational issues affecting efficient operations.

· Provide basic training to staff regarding good IT practices and procedures as well

· Provide customer oriented follow-ups in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.

· Work with the IT Security Administrator to investigate security incidents through the use of security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, spam/email filtering and intrusion detection systems.

· Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.

· Recommend, schedule, and perform desktop, system, and network improvements, upgrades, and repairs

Qualifications and Experience:

· College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science

· Minimum of 7years of related hands on work experience

· One or more of the following certifications:

· CompTIA Security+

· ITIL 4 Foundations

· GIAC Information Security Fundamentals

· Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Security

· Associate of (ISC)2

· Expert knowledge with modern computer hardware, software, mobile phones, tablets, printers, web cams, microphones and other devices that enable mobile work

· Experience using and supporting users of Windows10 and mainstream software tools

· Experience setting up, configuring and maintaining Windows 2012, Windows 2016, and Windows 2019 servers

· Knowledge of Internet and Intranet technologies

· Advanced knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite

· Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

· Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required.

· Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

· Highly self-motivated and directed.

· Keen attention to detail.

· Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative, agile environment.
