Under general supervision, manages moderately complex projects or oversees various aspects of highly complex projects. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project.

Must befamiliar with the scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

BASIC FUNCTION

The Senior Project and Program Manager owns the coordination and success of complex customer-focused projects for Clinical Effectiveness (CE) products and solutions.. Responsible for assembling the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of project.

Must befamiliar with the scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Presents customers with best practice recommendations and fosters optimal product usage. Interacts with customers to cultivate future project initiatives, collaborates with services/support sales teams on new service initiatives. Maintains a clear understanding of client requirements, building and maintaining strong client relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Excellent project management skills to track large, complex software implementations across multiple customer sites

* Develops detailed project plans and schedules and gathers and further refines moderately complex project requirements

* Determines staffing requirements and forms project teams

* Develops methods, procedures and quality objectives including metrics for assessing progress

* Coordinates activities of project team, identifying appropriate resources needed to ensure timely completion of project

* Schedules and conducts project meetings, communicating individual roles and project expectations to ensure that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively

* Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors, key clients and other key stakeholders

* Share best practices with customers and encourage their adoption

* Establish positive, collaborative relationships with client representatives even under difficult or escalated circumstances

* Act and communicate professionally as a representative of the CE team

* Respond quickly and appropriately to customer questions, needs and requests and coordinate resources to meet those needs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

BA/BS required

Experience:

* 5+ years of project management experience in a matrixed organization, OR equivalent.

* Experience in healthcare highly preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or

Certifications:

* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; advanced/expert level preferred

* Experience using Project Management Tools and CRM tools such Sales Force

* Ability to identify problems and implement or recommend solutions

* Ability to manage change from low process to high process environment

* Use good judgment within scope of authority

* Excellent attention to detail

* Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

* Ability to make difficult, and sometimes unpopular, decisions
