IT Support Analyst Job at GovNet Communications in London

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Support Analyst to join our London office. You will be responsible for the support of all IT systems and services. You will be working with both internal and external resources including covering 1st / 2nd line desktop support, server, network & applications support, along with some user training.

Your role

The IT Support Analyst responsibilities are to provide continuous support to the internal staff, ensuring that the business remains online. Taking in support queries via different means such as telephone, email, tickets and face-to-face, according to our SLA’s to resolve service disruptions.

Key responsibilities include:
Working on the helpdesk and assisting with tickets

Support users with desktop problems on Windows and MS Office

Application support

Assist with IT projects when possible

Work within the ITIL framework


To qualify the IT Support Analyst will have a background in 1st and 2nd line support to include various technologies such as Windows 10, Office 365, Outlook, Skype, MS Office, Mobile Devices/Tablets (ideally iPhone/iPad) etc. Some experience of managing or working with 3rd party IT suppliers/vendors and a knowledge of ITIL.

In the successful IT Support Analyst, we are looking for experience with most of the following technologies:

Windows 10 Operating System

Windows Server (2008-2019)

Office 365 & Exchange

General Networking protocols and technologies (WAN/LAN)

Active Directory


VMWare / Hyper-V

Network Troubleshooting

Mobiles / Tablets

VoIP systems
