Risk Technology provides IT services in support of HSBC’s “Second line of Defence” Global Risk Function. Global Risk is a diverse and evolving function, acting as “Risk Steward” for many of HSBC’s financial and non-financial risks. Given HSBC’s global and universal banking model, the Risk Function is structured to “Protect and enable” HSBC’s four global business across all regions.
This role is to support Basel III Reform (B3R) Central IT Programme Lead to manage IT deliverables for this programme. This candidate will be managing the milestones and deliverables across each of the IT work streams, overseeing resourcing plans, dependencies, risks and issues, escalating programme level risks. The work stream IT leads will own their own plans and this role coordinates and manages these outcomes in the Programme IT PoaP. This role will ensure compliance to BTF, understand IT deliverable methodology and we are complaint to FIM Policy and adhering to our Operational Risk Management Framework across the Programme.
This role would support the Basel 3 project delivery by assisting with the overall project management of the technical implementation needed to be compliant with strategic architecture approved via the B3R Design Review Board. The role also requires adherence to data management policy in context of HSBC delivery working closely with the B3R Data & Controls Work stream lead.
Key duties include:
Responsible for our driving implementations for the B3R programme and ensuring we are delivering quality services in time, within cost and compliant to FIM Policy.
Accountable for delivering our roadmaps and plans for the rest of the year
Responsible for ensuring Architecture Governance processes and standards are implemented and Solution Control Framework is embedded in our services
Help drive adoption of DevOps across all PODs and managing plans to ensure we are demonstrating progress
Helps support Cloud First strategy and adoption of new technologies and strategic architecture
Responsible for overseeing the execution of the Finance and Risk data hub
Responsible for using previous delivered regulatory programs example BCBS 239 existing architecture and solutions to progress Basel 3 implementation.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
Extensive IT Development and / or Business Change experience in Financial Institutions
Good understanding of Finance & Risk business & technology
Good knowledge of Data Governance and Controls in line with BCBS 239 Principles
Good understanding of implementing Data Controls across locations and functions
Ability to deal with senior stakeholders on a peer – peer basis
Influencing skills and ability to work as an Individual Contributor (self starter)
Good knowledge of project methodologies like Agile or Waterfall – Prince2 , Six Sigma or Agile certification
Ability to work with both senior stakeholders and team members in driving the correct solutions
The base location for this role is Park Street, London.
