Summary

About the Position: Serves as a member of the Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), Army Cyber Information Assurance/Computer Network Defense (IA/CND) Compliance Division, managing compliance data for Army agencies connected to all Army networks.

Responsibilities

Directs data collection efforts, administers and monitors Computer Network Defense for all Army Networks as part of ARCYBER.

Determines measurable data points and shapes the collection environment to address key concerns for the Army?s CND posture.

Analyzes information Assurance and Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) messages to determine required actions and suspense dates; coordinates with Information Assurance (IA) Computer Network Defense (CND) contract team.

Evaluates network security configuration and performs on-site network security assessments

Oversees life cycle management of Plan of Action and Milestones for compliance actions, such as Data At Rest compliance, Host Based Security System (HBSS) installation, Operating System installation, and implementation of Army Cyber orders.

Develops and/or contributes to draft responses to ARCYBER leadership on the state of Cyber Operations readiness and compliance, particularly as it relates to the quality of collection and the breadth of asset visibility.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military Affairs Desk Officer (MADO) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]

TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE – You must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on SSBI with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

DRUG TESTING -This position is a testing designated position (TDP) in accordance with (IAW) Drug Free Federal Workplace Program. You will agree to submit to urinalysis testing on a recurring basis. You are required to sign a DA Form 5019 form.

Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).

IAM LEVEL II CERTIFICATION – IAM Level II certification and Computer Network Defense ? Incident responder (CND-IR) are required within six months or less of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the EXPERIENCE requirements described below. Aggregate IT data collection, metrics and data points;

assist in cyberspace information assurance and vulnerability assessments;

assist with network security assessments;

report on cyberspace operations data collection and processes

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
