Job Description

The Computer Network Technician is responsible for managing the IT related activities and the support of software updates, implementation, network security and overall systems maintenance and upgrade, hardware installation and technical support analyst. The candidate should be an experienced individual with the ability to work in a collaborative environment, developing and validating custom software application to improve overall company performance. Also, this user support technician should have substantial knowledge of mechatronics system prototype and production validation as needed.

We are looking for a talented user support technician who is willing to be challenged and use their unique skills in a variety of interesting projects. In this position, you will be responsible for the following:


  • Work closely with remote management network support staff to identify and take care of network bugs, and design network expansions
  • Work closely with the engineering and administrative team to create local Intranet or mobile apps as needed
  • Offer technical support to the team for internal network functions and any Internet-enabled applications
  • Monitor the company’s cloud storage accounts to ensure they remain protected and secure from potential hacking threats
  • Develop network test routines that help the remote Network Architect to understand the effects of certain network changes on the entire company platform
  • Conduct regular hardware testing using available technology and testing tools
  • Update existing computer equipment and integrate new technology into existing units
  • Deliver agreed upon IT system solutions in a timely manner
  • Verify that the proposed final product follows best practices for enterprise systems is within cost guidelines and meets required specifications
  • Build Windows virtual machines in VMWare and on-premise environments
  • Collaborate with other project teams throughout the organization to determine ideal build specifications to meet their requirements prior to the start of any system build
  • Design, develop, and/or install software systems as needed
  • Test, Modify, and assemble circuits and other electronic components for maximum efficiency
  • Meet the needs of the organization by designing support peripherals
  • Anticipate needs and submit orders for replacement hardware as necessary
  • Develop Web based application to remotely test and upgrade software on fielded system
  • Develop and conduction test case and regression test on engineering prototype and pre-production system
  • Develop intranet dashboard application for monitoring and communicating companies’ procedures, performances, and other activities.

· Develop and implement processes and applications resulting in a paperless operation

Other responsibilities

  • Running experiments and /or test set-up for suspension related components or products such as passive, semi-active and active suspension
  • Write Operation, Safe Usage and Maintenance Manuals in support of in-house Test Rigs
  • Applying principles and theories of electronics, control, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing: Discusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with electronic, control, mechanical and software engineers and draws sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units

· Assembles experimental circuitry or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions and knowledge of electronic systems and components

· Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications or test equipment to simplify engineering test

· Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational of prototype model

· Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance

· Write technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system’s operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations for consideration by engineers in broader determinations affecting system design and laboratory procedures

· Field installation, testing and commissioning of electronic suspension or ride systems (travel required)

Qualifications and experience

· College degree or Higher.

· 2 years or more of Hands on experience with IT related activities: hardware and software maintenance and software upgrades

· Knowledge embedded software design for high reliability systems (assembly, C)

· Knowledge of MatLab, C, C++ and Java

· Knowledge of Digital Media Programming

· Experience with mechatronics system design and trouble shouting

· Experience with electronic prototyping and troubleshooting

· Experience with electronic production system test and validation

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
